'a day on the green' LAUNCHES IN NEW ZEALAND
JOE COCKER TO HEADLINE THREE WINERY CONCERT EVENTS

One of Australia's most popular outdoor concerts 'a day on the green' today announced its arrival in New Zealand with three major winery events around the country to be headlined by JOE COCKER.

For the past six years and 108 shows, more than half a million Australians have enjoyed the 'a day on the green' experience - good food, good wine and great music in the country's most picturesque wineries and outdoor locations during the summer months.

With its fantastic outdoor venues, thriving wine industry and appreciation of great music, New Zealand is the perfect home for an event such as 'a day on the green'. The three concerts will be held on Saturday January 26 at Mudhouse Winery in Waipara, Sunday January 27 at Alana Estate in Martinborough and Public Holiday Monday January 28 at Villa Maria Estate Winery in Auckland.

And what better way to kick off the very first 'a day on the green' in New Zealand than with one of the very best soul and R&B singers in the history of popular music, JOE COCKER!

COCKER is instantly recognizable for his unique & oh-so sensational guttural growl of a voice, and his uncanny gift of taking well-known songs and recrafting them to instantly make them his own.

COCKER will be returning to Australia & New Zealand on the back of a hugely successful two month sold out European tour which finishes with two special shows in his hometown Sheffield mid-December. In June Cocker was awarded an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for services to music, and he will finish 2007 with a visit to Buckingham Palace to receive it.

It is on stage that this incredible performer really shines and anyone who has seen a JOE COCKER concert knows it is a night to be remembered, and not to be missed.

'a day on the green' concerts feature multiple artists, and the special guest supports for the three concerts will be local roots legend Midge Marsden and blues sensation Hammond Gamble (solo).

'a day on the green' concerts have all-inclusive VIP packages, reserved seating at the front of the stage and general admission tickets so patrons may byo picnic rugs & deck chairs.

'a day on the green' is a fully licensed event. Strictly no BYO alcohol. Food will be available on site or BYO picnic.
